According to the survey, one in six violent crimes in the United States -an estimated 8% of rapes, 7% of robberies and 16% of assaults - occurs at work.
This Training will compliment the Office of Personnel Management's handbook “Dealing with Workplace Violence a Guide for Agency Planners”. The goal of this training is to assist personnel charged with establishing workplace violence initiatives at their agencies.
This class will cover the following areas: Preventive Measures; Determining workplace risk; Identifying occupational groups most at risk for workplace violence; Work related factors that increase your risk; Triggers; Violence Prevention; Developing a workplace violence prevention program.
Portions of this session will be taught by an a public safety professional.
Terminal Objective
Given training on workplace violence, upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to identify resources to help him/her maintain a safer workplace.
